Anthony Anemone, professor emeritus of Russian at the New School, is the editor of Just Assassins: The Culture of Terrorism in Russia and cotranslator and editor of “I Am a Phenomenon Quite Out of the Ordinary”: The Notebooks, Diaries, and Letters of Daniil Kharms.

Charles Bernstein, a recipient of the Bollingen Prize for Poetry, is Donald T. Regan Professor Emeritus of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Pennsylvania and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Between 1978 and 1981, he edited and published the magazine L = A = N = G = U = A = G = E with Bruce Andrews. The author of more than twenty books of poetry and five collections of essays, he has also written librettos for operas with the composers Ben Yarmolinsky, Brian Ferneyhough, and Dean Drummond.
