Charles Bernstein is the author, most recently, of The Kinds of Poetry I Want: Essays and Comedies (2024), Topsy-Turvy (2021), and Pitch of Poetry (2016). His work was the subject of the 2021 boundary 2 issue “Charles Bernstein: The Poetry of Idiomatic Insistences,” edited by Paul Bové.
Allen Chun is Research Fellow Emeritus in the Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica, Taiwan. From August 2019, he has been Chair Professor in the Institute for Social Research and Cultural Studies, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. His interests include cultural theory, nation-state formation, transnationalism, and identity. His research has focused mostly on Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. His most recent books are Forget Chineseness: On the Geopolitics of Cultural Identification (2017), On the Geopragmatics of Anthropological Identification (2019), and From Social Visibility to Political Invisibility: The School in Nationalist Taiwan as Fulcrum for an Evolving World Ethos (2023).
