Charles Bernstein is Donald T. Regan Professor of English, Emeritus, at the University of Pennsylvania. His most recent books are Topsy-Turvy, Near/Miss, Pitch of Poetry, Recalculating, and Attack of the Difficult Poems. In 2019, he was awarded the Bollingen Prize, the major US poetry prize, for lifetime achievement and for Near/Miss.
