George Solt is associate professor at the Center for Global Education at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. His work focuses on Japanese cultural history and US-Japan relations in the late twentieth century. He is the author of The Untold History of Ramen: How Political Crisis in Japan Spawned a Global Food Craze (2014), which has been translated into Japanese and Chinese.
