-
Published:August 2016
This chapter discusses the Mars Desert Research Station, a habitat in the Utah desert where an early Mars settlement is simulated. Living and doing science at this site involves participants telling stories about the landscape that connects this place on Earth to Mars. Through language and embodiment, there are moments when Mars manifests on Earth and participants experience the joy of exploring another world.
