“A Question of Place: Revisions, Reassessments, Diaspora” was a contribution to Transforming the Crown: African, Asian, and Caribbean Artists in Britain, 1966–1996, an exhibition at the Franklin H. Williams Caribbean Cultural Center/African Diaspora Institute, New York; the Studio Museum, Harlem; and the Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York, between October 1997 and March 1998. The poems of Tchicaya U Tam’si and the art of Olu Oguibe and Rotimi Fani-Kayode are discussed.
