This speech, delivered in 1993 at the third national LGBTQ March on Washington, outlines the danger posed by the right-wing movement to gay and lesbian individuals, to civil society, and to democracy. It argues that the "Right" is wrong morally, spiritually, and politically, but is right about one thing—that the gay liberation movement calls for “an end to the world as we know it,” a world in which racism, sexism, homophobia are allowed to thrive.
