Recent political-economic transformations have seen a greater and greater proportion of the African population subsist outside of formal labor markets. In light of these transformations, this concluding chapter offers a novel account of what is at stake in locating the centrality of African infrastructural work at the center of our understanding of modes of accumulation, both past and present.
