Chapter 6 covers Duke’s “second drought," in the mid-2000s, following the Blue Devils’ third national championship. Three stars from the 2001 championship team—Jason Williams, Carlos Boozer, and Mike Dunleavy Jr.—would eventually leave for the NBA. In the seasons that followed, they were replaced by a talented collection of players, including J. J. Redick, Shelden Williams, Shavlik Randolph, and Luol Deng.
