The second half of the book shifts from family-focused sitcoms to sitcoms centered on groups of friends and coworkers. These genres introduce more typically trans modes of being, resisting turning into romantic comedies until they end, arguing that many shift from the genre of heterosexual collapse to the genre of transsexual emergence.
