This brief “intermezzo” addresses the philosophical practice of the creation of concepts and its role in the approach that Virgin Mary and the Neutrino takes to the ecology of practices. Concept creation is a divergent practice and is characterized here by means of an engagement with the work of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, and is exemplified through a discussion of the concept of cause already explored elsewhere in the book.
