-
Published:June 2023
In chapter six, Shankar focuses more explicitly on the women in leadershio in Sahaayaka's organization, positioning them within a long history of savarna-colonial feminist uplift projects. Shankar argues that joining the NGO sector may provide opportunites for these women to find a means to resolve the contradiction between production/social reproduction. However, Shankar wonders about the extent to which this resolution has positive impacts on the students these women work with.
