The sixth chapter follows the history of the self-portrait done through cameras like Kodak and Fuji and the corporate objectives behind these products. It analyzes the democratization of photography through affordable means of taking pictures. And it looks at the selfie in the tradition of auto-portraits from Diego Velázquez to van Gogh onward to Lucas Samaras.
