Track six is a story-form narration of the author’s acquisition of a huge cache of material associated with the musician and thinker Sun Ra. The material, which was being discarded from the house of Ra’s manager, Alton Abraham, on the South Side of Chicago in 2000, would eventually form the core of the University of Chicago’s Jazz Archive’s Alton Abraham/Sun Ra Archive.
