This chapter describes how Bruno becomes a prison leader because of his willingness to stand up to the prison authorities. It describes how he is transferred to an open prison, which he then takes over with considerable risk to himself. The chapter also discusses the nature of conflicts with the Comando Vermelho, conflicts that result in the faction becoming divided.
