How would our disciplines and methodologies change if we took seriously the idea that bodies (and not only books and documents) produce, store, and transfer knowledge? The epistemic turn prompted by embodied objects of analysis necessarily provoked shifts in what academic disciplines value as canonical texts, methodologies of study, objects of analysis, expertise, sources of knowledge, and systems of transmission. This closing chapter brings together words from many of the leading figures in performance studies to speculate on how we can better understand the powerful weapon that is performance.
