The Martini-Henry Rifle and the Origin of Martini as the Name of the Cocktail
lowell edmunds is professor of classics emeritus at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. His primary areas of research are Greek myth and Greek literature. He has also published on Roman poetry. His long-standing interest in the Martini cocktail dates back to the first edition of his book The Silver Bullet: The Martini in American Civilization (Greenwood, 1981).
