Corpus-Based Sociolinguistics Activities in an Active-Learning Language Classroom
JON BAKOS is assistant professor of TESL and linguistics at Indiana State University. He completed his Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University in 2013. He is interested in the dialects of Indiana in addition to online discourse. Since 2001 he has taught ESL writing, four skills classes in composition, introduction to linguistics, sociolinguistics, and pedagogical grammar and topics courses in psycholinguistics, usage-based approaches, and discourse analysis.
