Emily Dickinson in the Twenty-First Century
Marianne Noble is a professor in the Department of Literature at American University. She is the author of The Masochistic Pleasures of Sentimental Literature (2000) and Rethinking Sympathy and Human Contact in Nineteenth-Century American Literature: Hawthorne, Douglass, Stowe, Dickinson (2019). She also coedited Emily Dickinson and Philosophy (2013).
